The Government of Philippines will spend PHP2.3 trillion on infrastructure projects in the last two quarters of 2021. The Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) has set a third-quarter disbursement target of PHP1.123 trillion and a fourth-quarter spending objective of PHP1.175 trillion for 2021. This is a part of the PHP4.737-trillion spending plan for 2021.
It is estimated that the increased spending will help the economy recover, generate more employment, and finish large-scale infrastructure projects.
