NEPC plans to increase waste-to-energy projects to reduce garbage volume

Thailand’s National Energy Policy Council (NEPC) is planning to increase the number of new waste-to-energy (WtE) projects in 2021 and it is preparing to invite investors to propose new projects, with a combined capacity of 400 MW. WtE plants, which were already granted licences in previous auctions, operate in 36 areas, with a combined capacity of 328 MW.
