The ENEOS Corporation, SEFC Energy and Sumitomo Corporation have signed an MoU for a project to establish a hydrogen supply chain using renewable energy in Malaysia. The feasibility study for the project is expected to commence in January 2021. The proposed hydrogen supply chain will involve the production of carbon dioxide-free hydrogen at a hydroelectric power station in Sarawak, Malaysia. The energy company, ENEOS, will carry out engineering studies for equipment specifications for the process. Further, Sumitomo Corporation will conduct a feasibility assessment of the process from hydroelectric power generation to hydrogen production, whereas SEDC Energy will provide overall support.
