Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited has launched a large-scale solar PV project through its subsidiaries Energy Smart Sdn Bhd and Xinyi Solar. The project has been launched in Melaka. At present, the first and second phases of the project have been successfully completed with an installed capacity of 19 MWp. According to the company, the project is expected to reduce carbon discharge totalling 39,649 tonnes per year (tpa). Additionally, the project will enable savings of approximately RM 15.9 million in the company’s annual electricity costs. Solarvest has been appointed as one of the installation partners for the project.
