Bangkok Mass Transit System’s (BTS) elevated rail system conducted the first trial run along a new stretch on the city’s northern outskirts. The trial run was successfully conducted from Lad Phrao Intersection station to Kasetsart University station, passing three other stations along the way. The Lad Phrao-Kasetsart stretch of the BTS line is scheduled to be operationalised by December 2019. Besides, the complete stretch up to Khu Khot station in Pathum Thani province is currently under construction and is expected to be operationalised by end 2019.
