Malaysia-based YTL Communications has announced that it will conduct a pilot of Terragraph in Georgetown, Penang. Terragraph is a 60 GHz multi-hop, multi-point wireless distribution network, which can deliver gigabit speeds to dense underserved urban areas in a much more effective manner as compared to fibre. The trial network deployment will be supported by Facebook.
