Mega First Corporation Bhd completes project financing of Don Sahong hydro power plant

Mega First Corporation Berhad (MFCB), the owner and operator of power generation plants, has completed project financing of $150 million for the construction and development of the Don Sahong hydropower project. The total installed capacity of the plant will be 260 MW. The total cost of the project is expected to be $500 million. The investment per MW is expected to be $1.9 million. The power generated by the plant will be sold to Electricite du Laos (EDL) under a PPA. The power project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2019.
