Lorenzo V. Tan, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, has received a People of the Year award for exemplary performance in his field. People Asia sponsored the awards. Tan is President of the Bankers Association of the Philippines, and immediate past chairman of the Asian Bankers Association. Tan has been holding the post since April 2007. A certified public accountant in Pennsylvania, US, and in the Philippines, Tan graduated from De La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and holds a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, US.
