A 66 km section of the La So-Tuy Loan Highway, passing through the Bach Ma national park, has opened to traffic in Vietnam. The expressway, which runs from La Son Intersection in Thua Thien-Phu Hue’s Loc District to Tuy Loan Intersection in Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District, began construction in 2013. The total cost of the road construction project was USD497.7 million.

Works on the expressway were conducted in two sections. This includes the 55 km La Son-Hoa Lien section linking Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District’s La Son Intersection to Hoa Lien Intersection and the 11.5 km Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan section which connects to the Da Nang-Quang Ngai Highway.

The Ho Chi Minh Road project manager board has handed over operation of the expressway to the Directorate for Roads in Vietnam (DRVN), an agency under the Ministry of Transport (MoT). As of now, there are no toll booths on the stretch.
