GCash, Philippines leading mobile wallet, was hailed as the company of the year at the 55th Anvil Awards for achieving excellence and innovation in its public relations, digital and marketing communication programmes. The company won a total 21 Anvil trophies, eight gold and 13 silver, under different award categories. The categories for which GCash was conferred the awards included public relations programmes for consumer welfare, good governance, arts and culture, children’s welfare and other programs directed at specific stakeholders such as employees, students, etc.

Presented annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards are considered a symbol of excellence in public relations. They are awarded to outstanding public relations programmes, tools and practitioners after careful screening by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury. The PRSP is a leading non-profit organisation, established in 1957, comprising members from business and industry, government and foundations, and entrepreneurs.
