The People’s Committee in the Central Highlands has decided to decommission 21 hydropower plants located in the KonPlong, Dak Glei, Dak Ha, Sa Thay, Ngoc Hoi, and Tu Mo Rong districts of Kon Tum province. This is largely because of the increasing operating cost. The plants have a total capacity of about 70 MW. The province will be left with 48 small and medium hydropower plants with a total capacity of about 500 MW.
