The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the first international tourism port took place in the coastal province of Kampot. The port is being built in an area of 4 hectares. The port is being developed under a loan of $8 million from ADB. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019. The country is projected to get up to 7 million international tourists with expected revenue of $5 billion by 2020.
