Vietnam-based mobile network operators Viettel, MobiFone and VNPT-Vinaphone have started testing mobile number portability (MNP). The MNP service is expected to become officially available in the country by December 31, 2017, enabling consumers to retain their number even when they switch their service provider. According to the draft regulations, subscribers can only apply for a transfer after completing at least 90 days with their current provider.
