TPMC to fund the development of $500 million power plant in Ahlone

Toyo Thai Power Myanmar Company Limited (TPMC) has announced plans to invest between $350 million and $500 million to develop an LNG power plant in Ahlone Township, Yangon. The power plant is expected to generate 388 MW of electricity. Currently, the company is preparing the environmental impact and socio-economic impact reports for the project. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2019. The TPCM project is one of three large LNG power plants that will be built in the country.
