Malaysia-based utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), through its subsidiary TNB Sepang Solar Sdn Bhd, has raised $79 million from Affin Islamic Bank Bhd for a 50 MW large-scale solar power plant in Selangor, Malaysia. The project that will be spread across 97 hectares has achieved financial closure and is expected to begin operations in November 2018. TNB is also the buyer of the electricity produced and signed a 21-year PPA for the same in March 2017.
