Thailand-based Thai Oil Public Company Limited was awarded the “Best Corporate Governance” award and Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad was awarded the “Best Investor Event” award at the Investor Relations Magazine Awards and Conference-South East Asia, 2017, held in Singapore.
Astro was also the second runner-up in two other categories, namely, “Best Annual Report” and “Best ESG Communications”.
The awards included two types of categories, namely, researched categories and self-nomination categories. For researched categories, various analysts and investors had to cast their votes and give their opinions on which companies do the best investor relations in Southeast Asia. In self-nomination categories, companies were given the opportunity to nominate themselves.
