STP and Prasarana signs third supplemental contract for Kuala Lumpur monorail

Scomi Engineering Berhad-owned Scomi Transit Projects Sendirian Berhad (STP) and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad have signed a contract for the Kuala Lumpur monorail. The agreement is a third supplemental contract to a primary agreement that was signed between the two parties in 2011. STP will upgrade the Kuala Lumpur monorail stations, construct a new depot and supply 12 four-car train sets and the electrical and mechanical system. As of March 2017, STP has completed around 83 per cent of the project work.
