The city council of Iloilo in the Philippines has approved the solar power plant project of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC). The council has endorsed the EDC to develop, construct, install, operate and maintain the plant. The project will be undertaken in Barangay Hinactacan in Iloilo province of the country. Once operational, the plant is expected to supply up to 20 MW of electricity to Iloilo city.
