Singapore-based mobile operator SingTel is planning to deploy massive MIMO technology commercially in its LTE-A network. The move will be a precursor to the arrival of 5G technology as it will augment the operator’s mobile internet speeds by up to 200 per cent. SingTel is planning to partner with Ericsson, Huawei and ZTE for boosting network capacity in highly dense environments, starting with the Marina Bay area.
