A consortium of Germany-based Siemens and Singapore-based ST Engineering Electronics has secured an SGD 18.8 million contract from the LTA to develop an integrated rail asset management system. Currently, the LTA uses multiple asset management systems for individual lines; the new system will integrate all asset information and maintenance records. Initially, the consortium will develop software to store and analyse data sourced from the existing maintenance management system, rolling stock, power supply system, signalling system, communications system, integrated supervisory control system, trackwork, and platform screen doors of the Blue Line of the Singapore MRT network. The system will be introduced later on other lines in phases.
