Sembcorp Solar Singapore, the wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp, has won a project to build, own, operate and maintain rooftop solar systems across 848 apartment blocks and 27 government sites in Singapore. The project was awarded by the Housing and Development Board and the Singapore Economic Development Board. The project involved a total capacity of 50 MW and covers blocks in the West Coast and Choa Chu Kang town councils. The construction of the rooftop solar systems will begin in the third quarter of 2018 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
