Royal Brunei Airlines, the national airline of Brunei, has received the first of seven firm aircraft and three optional aircraft ordered as part of its fleet renewal programme. The Airbus A320neo aircraft is equipped with Leap-1A26 CFM engines, which reduce emissions and enhance operational efficiency. It is also the world’s first narrow-bodied aircraft that is fitted with a Thales Avant in-flight entertainment system. By December 2018, eight new aircraft – a Boeing 787 and seven A320neos – will be added to Royal Brunei’s existing fleet of 10 aircraft.
