The Philippines DoTr and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) have launched public utility buses in Pasay City under the Public Utility Vehicle Modernisation Programme. The buses have been manufactured by Darabus and each bus costs between PHP 6 million and PHP 16 million. The buses will be deployed in Makati, Cainta, Taguig, as well as the Central Luzon and Bicol regions. The city buses are equipped with 37 seats whereas the point-to-point and provincial buses are equipped with 49 to 72 recliner seats.
