Vietnam’s Southern Vietnam Power Projects Management Board has commenced operations on the 220/110 kV Vung Tau substation at an estimated cost of $7.36 million. The project involved the construction of the 220/110 kV outdoor substation, installation of 2×250 MVA single-phase transformers, and 110 kV connecting lines. The project will help reduce power losses; improve power quality, reliability and safety; enhance power supply; and boost production of industrial manufacturing and other industries in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and neighbouring areas.
