Qatar-based telecom operator Ooredoo has announced plans to launch mobile money services in Myanmar. The operator is now awaiting licence approval from the Central Bank of Myanmar. Ooredoo has already completed testing the new service and established internal business processes to manage it. M-Pitesan, the new mobile money service, will enable its customers to send money instantly within Myanmar.
