The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission plans to auction licences for the remaining seven lots of the 1800 MHz band and the 2.6 GHz band next year. Recently, DTAC TriNet, a subsidiary of telecommunications company Total Access Communication Public Company Limited, secured the licence for the 900 MHz spectrum by offering THB 38.06 billion. It was the sole bidder for the auction that was held on October 28, 2018. The licence allows DTAC to operate 2×5 MHz spectrum on the 900 MHz bandwidth for a period of 15 years.
