Russia’s Micran Research and Production Company and Indonesia’s PT Rahmah Samudra and PT Nuansa Era Teknologi plan to form a JV to manufacture telecommunications equipment to provide internet and mobile communication services. The project will be carried out in stages. The first stage will entail screwdriver assembly, with semi-finished equipment supplied by Micra to be assembled in Indonesia. Further, a full-fledged plant will be built in Indonesia and the Indonesian companies will act as investors in localising production. The financing for the project is yet to be determined.
