Maynilad Water Services, the concessionaire for the west zone of Metro Manila, is undertaking construction works for four new STPs. These STPs will be developed in Kawit, Las Pinas, Caloocan and Muntinlupa, and will have a combined treatment capacity of 120 million cubic metres per year. It is also planning to lay 160 km of sewage pipelines. The works, which will require a total investment of PhP 21.1 billion, are being undertaken under Maynilad’s Wastewater Management Programme, 2018-2022. The concessionaire has also undertaken water pipeline works in Caloocan. It has laid 8 km long pipelines along the Zabarte, Camarin and Langit roads at a cost of PhP 387 million.
