The Ministry of Energy and Mining of Lao People’s Democratic Republic has proposed to boost cooperation with Vietnam in the energy sector, particularly in power generation and transmission. The ministry has proposed that the two countries explore the possibility of connecting power grids, which will enable Laos to export electricity to Vietnam.
