The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR project has received the environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval from the Department of Environment (DOE). The project between the governments of Malaysia and Singapore aims to facilitate 90-minute travel between both countries and is expected to enhance business linkages and bridge the distance between the two countries. The report submitted to the DOE has been approved with certain conditions to be complied with during the construction and operational phases of the HSR project.
