The West Java International Airport, also known as Kertajati airport, in Indonesia, has won the Smart Airport Award at the 2018 Airports Award held by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia in collaboration with Bandara Magazine. The airport was also awarded for securing its place among the top 10 airports in the country. The two awards were presented to the airport for its concept of technology-based infrastructure services through the airport management system (AMS).

Kertajati airport is currently refining its services with AMS technology for both operational and commercial purposes in order to provide best service to airport users. On the commercial front, the airport is in the process of deploying a cashless payment system by using smart cards and QR code-based mobile ticketing.
