JICA has disbursed a Rp 1.2 trillion loan for construction of Phase I of the access road to Patimban port. The road spanning 8.2 km will be constructed by a JV of Shimizu-Pembangunan Perumahan-Bangun Cipta Konstruksi within a period of 18 months.
The access road to Patimban will be connected to the national road network of Pantura and in the long run to the Cipali toll road. The road is being constructed as part of the Patimban port development programme.
