A JV of Jacobs Engineering Group, China Communications and Construction Company (CCCC) and George Kent (GK) has secured a $234 million contract from MRT Corporation to provide lead track work design consultancy services for the Klang Valley MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line in Malaysia. The scope of work includes EPC, testing and commissioning of track work, maintenance vehicles and work trains. The SSP Line will span 52.2 km from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya, covering 37 stations (11 underground, 26 elevated). The construction cost is estimated at $6 billion. Phase I (Kwasa Damansara-Kampung Batu) is expected to be completed by July 2021, and Phase II (Kampung Batu-Putrajaya Sentral) by July 2022.
