The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore is planning to launch a consultation to consider mobile developments related to and the spectrum requirements for 5G technology. According to the regulator, 5G technology will require a greater amount of spectrum resources as it is expected to support a larger range of applications. The IMDA also plans to continue promoting greater technological innovation by encouraging trials for 5G technology to explore its potential benefits and applications.
