Gulf Energy Development has commenced the operation of its gas-fired cogeneration power plant – the Gulf Tasit 3 (GTS3) having an installed capacity of 129.9 MW. It will distribute 90 MW of electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) in accordance with a 25-year PPA. Moreover, it will sell 32.8 MW of electricity and 25 tonnes per hour of steam to industrial users through existing PPAs. As a result, the company now has 13 gas-fired power projects and four rooftop solar projects in operation with a total installed capacity of 4,772.1 MW.
