The Government of Malaysia and the Government of Singapore have signed an agreement to construct the 350 km Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high speed rail (HSR) line. As per the agreement, the two countries will design, build, finance and maintain the civil works and stations within their own territory, through the Malaysia High Speed Rail Authority and Singapore’s LTA. The HSR line will feature double-track and operate trains at a speed of 350 kmph. It will cover eight stations (seven in Malaysia and one in Singapore).
