Philippines-based operator Globe Telecom has signed an agreement with the local governments of Cebu and Manduae for deploying fibre facilities in the two cities. To this end, the operator has already commenced works to roll out 18 Globe-at-Home fibre sites in Cebu. Earlier, Globe Telecom had unveiled plans to commission around 400,000 broadband lines across the country by end-2017.
