The town of Bato, Philippines, is planning to expand its municipal port in anticipation of the increase in passenger and cargo traffic. Bato port is a busy port as it is the gateway to Bohol and Cebu City. Under the expansion plan, the port will be widened from the present 30 metres to 90 metres. For the expansion of the port, the municipal authorities have sought the help of the Department of Transportation. The expansion will cost around PhP 90 million.
