State-owned Electricity of Vietnam’s transmission subsidiary National Power Transmission Corporation has signed an agreement with the People’s Committee of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Quang Ngai and Quang Nam Provinces for the implementation of the 500 kV Vung Ang 3-Doc Soi-Pleiku 2 transmission line project. The project involves the construction of a 736 km long line traversing through nine provinces and cities including Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum and Gia Lai. The work on the project will be taken up in three sections involving the construction of 32 km long, 500 kV Quang Trach-Vung Ang, the 495 km long, 500 kV Quang Trach-Doc Soi, and the 209 km long Doc Soi-Pleiku 2 transmission lines. Work on the project is likely to be completed by June 2019.
