Digital Total Access Communications to purchase part of TOT’s 2,300 MHz spectrum

TOT is planning to partner with Dtac for the deployment of 4G services across the country using the 2300 MHz spectrum band. The draft proposal between the operators involves a purchase agreement of 60 per cent of TOT’s total network capacity in the 2300 MHz band by Dtac’s wholly owned subsidiary, TriNet Company. Once the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement are finalised and approvals have been received from the relevant government agencies, TOT and DTAC will sign the final agreement in the fourth quarter of 2017. The fixed annual payment for the agreement has been set at 4.5 billion baht.
