The construction of two power plants in Thaton township, Myanmar is expected to be completed by 2018. The power plants are financed by a $140 million loan from the World Bank. There will be two gas turbines, one engine fuelled by waste heat and two engines run on steam, which can produce 188.9 MW of electricity. Construction on the plants began in 2016.
