The Association of Southeast Asian Nations Business Advisory Council has recognised several companies at the Annual ASEAN Business Awards in Singapore. A total of 76 awards were presented to 60 companies in the Southeast Asian region, including Pioneer Adhesives, Inc. (formerly Republic Chemical Industries, Inc.), for its outstanding performance in the priority integration sector for automotives.

Other companies that were recognised at the event include International Container Terminal Services, Inc. for its performance in Logistics in ABA’s Priority Integration Sector, and Seaoil Philippines, Inc., for its presence in the Priority Integration Sector for Energy. Besides, the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, Inc. was awarded for ABA’s Sustainable Social Enterprise category. The company aims to eradicate poverty in the Philippines and in ASEAN regions through microfinance and community-based development programmes and currently has operations in Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong.
