The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has appointed Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi as Malaysia Airlines Berhad’s (MAB) new chief operatiing officer (COO), effective February 1, 2018.  Luqman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University. He started his career with Malaysia Airlines as a management trainee and has been working with the company for over 20 years. Prior to his appointment as COO, Luqman served as the chief executive officer of MAB Kargo Sendirian Berhad since September 2015. He was responsible for the strategic formulation and development of the group’s cargo business. Under Luqman’s leadership, MAB Kargo saw an 18 per cent growth in business volume through freighter network realignment and strategic partnerships.
